I created the Pre-Loved Angels Project because I believe generosity shouldn’t require a big budget, and support shouldn’t come with pressure of perfection. So many people want to give during the holidays but can’t afford to provide an entire Angel Tree Christmas—and so many families still need help with the basics, even if they don’t qualify for or feel comfortable with traditional programs. This project meets both sides with compassion. By blending sustainable, preloved curation with community donations, we’re able to offer thoughtful holiday support to Alaska kids, teens, and expecting moms—without the expectation of brand-new hauls or expensive gifts. It’s a softer, more accessible way to give and receive this season, rooted in dignity, sustainability, and the belief that kindness counts, no matter the size.

The Pre-Loved Angels Project offers thoughtfully curated gift bundles made with a mix of high-quality preloved items and brand-new essentials, created with care for newborns through 18-year-olds, as well as new moms. Simply fill out the sign-up form with your child’s sizes, preferences, and needs, and we’ll do our best to match your family with a bundle that brings comfort, joy, and a sense of being truly seen this Christmas. No judgment, no pressure, just community helping community.

If you’d like to support a child or new mom this holiday season, we invite you to join our community of sponsors. Through our donation tiers, you can directly contribute to curated gift bundles for families selected in the Pre-Loved Angels Project. If donations exceed our applicant needs, the remaining funds will be used to support local youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska.

DISCLAIMERS + TRANSPARENCY
We want this project to be warm, honest, and stress-free for everyone involved — so here’s everything you need to know up front. The Pre-Loved Angels Project is powered by one small business and a generous community, not a large national program. Because of that, we work with curated preloved items as well as new essentials to stretch donations as far as possible while keeping quality high.
Gifts will include a thoughtful mix of items such as clothing, small toys, books, stocking stuffers, and hygiene essentials, but this is not a full “Christmas haul” program. We are unable to provide 15+ gifts or high-end luxury items. Instead, each child or new mom will receive a carefully curated, meaningful selection that reflects dignity, practicality, and joy.
Technology Disclaimer:
We cannot guarantee tech items such as iPads, laptops, Apple Watches, gaming consoles, Kindles, or tablets.
Small electronics (like used alarm clocks, working watches, kid-friendly gadgets) may be possible with community donation sponsors, but are not guaranteed.
Quality Commitment:
All preloved items will be cleaned, inspected, and selected with the same care and attention used for Grace Thrifts styling boxes. Clothing and toys will be in excellent, giftable condition.
Limited Capacity:
As a small business project, we currently expect to fully support around 6 children or new moms, with the possibility of assisting more depending on community donations. Applications are not guaranteed, but we will do our absolute best with what we can give.
Pre-Loved Angels Project
What is the sign-up deadline?
Applications close on December 13th at 11:59 PM.
This gives us enough time to curate bundles and fill any last-minute needs before pickup weekend.
When and how do pickups work?
Pickups will be available December 15th and 17th at a designated Wasilla/Palmer pickup location.
No early pickups are available. Any bundles not picked up by the end of December 17th at 7pm will be on hold until I return from Hawaii on the morning of the 24th.
All pick ups/drop offs will be customized to the families needs and locations.
Who is eligible to apply?
We currently accept:
- Newborns to 18-year-olds
- Expecting or new moms (pregnant or baby under 3 months)
- Families in need of extra support this holiday season
How will I know if I’m accepted?
After submitting your form, you’ll receive a confirmation email AND a separate acceptance email. This will be FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.
Acceptance is based on:
- Available sponsorship funds
- Current capacity (approx. 5 guaranteed families, with potential for more through donations)
- Order of application submission
If capacity is reached, applicants will be placed on a waitlist and contacted if additional bundles become available.
What will my child receive?
Each curated bundle includes a mix of:
- Preloved clothing in excellent condition
- 2 - 3 age appropriate toys
- Stocking stuffer items
- New hygiene or comfort essentials
Bundles are NOT intended to replace a full “Christmas haul,” but to offer meaningful help and quality gifts.
Are the items used or new?
A mix of both.
- Preloved items: clothing, toys, books, accessories (in gift-ready condition)
- New items: hygiene products, candy, sealed items, select gifts
Everything preloved is cleaned, inspected, and curated with the same quality standards used in Grace Thrifts' styling services.
